Land Use and Zoning Activities on Daniel Island

Below are issues being brought before the various City of Charleston boards and committees that are specific to land use and zoning on Daniel Island. City of Charleston Technical Review Committee (TRC) – Next meeting to take place June 15. Two issues of impact to Daniel Island are on the agenda. (1) The Farr Street subdivision (three single family homes and 10 townhomes) for a second review. (2) The Fairbanks Drive subdivision for a first review. This proposed subdivision is for 90 single family or townhomes on a 16.78 acre parcel to the right of the first traffic circle as you enter Daniel Island Park (east of Governors Park).

BERKELEY COUNTY TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON BUDGET

The Berkeley County Council will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. (or as soon thereafter) on Monday, June 26 on the Budget Ordinance (Bill No. 17-17) for the fiscal year 2017-2018. The budget for the current operating fiscal year is $72,334.344 and the proposed budget for the new fiscal year is $80,617.144, reflecting an 11.4 percent increase. The hearing will take place in the Assembly Room of the Berkeley County Administration Building, located at 1003 Highway 52 in Moncks Corner.
