Waterfront trail bridge closed for repair

Those enjoying the Daniel Island trails along the waterfront will need to take some detours as a small portion of the trail continues to be temporarily closed.

Following a recent engineering inspection, the Daniel Island Property Owners’ Association discovered the small bridge located behind Credit One Stadium that crosses over the shallow wetland area needed repairs and safety updates.

That portion of the trail will remain closed until the repairs are completed.

All other trail access remains open, including between Waterfront Park and Governors Park, using the route behind the tennis courts and Commemorative Park  from Seven Farms Drive.

The only area affected is the small bridge section when heading toward the cemetery and stadium from Commemorative Park.

DIPOA will provide updates as repairs are complete and the full trail can safely reopen.
