The Stretch Effect is stretching clients back to health

Daniel Island is known for being a vibrant community full of golfers, tennis players, runners, fitness fanatics, and hard working citizens.

Since 2018, The Stretch Effect – located at 162 Seven Farms Drive unit 235 – is a hidden gem with a mission to keep islanders healthy and help them stretch through aches and pains.

The Stretch Effect isn’t a franchise, allowing them to formulate sessions to meet individual needs of clients. Nick Bosley, co-founder of The Stretch Effect, said they specialize in one-on-one comfortable-assisted stretching.

“We have time to personalize and maximize each one of our clients’ programs,” he said. “The first time we see you, we'll take you through a session and assess, we'll then have a program ready for you. We'll continue to curate and personalize your program each time we see you. We have a wide age range of clientele, starting at age 14 through clients well into their 70s and 80s!”

One of their top priorities is hiring individuals with degrees in related fields, such as exercise, sports science, and kinesiology.

Bosley compares The Stretch Effect to a "reset switch" for mind and body.

“Our goal is for you to leave each and every session feeling completely refreshed, recovered, and ready to go for whatever is next! Just like your car needs maintenance, your body does too, and just like an oil change, we'd love to help keep you going for another 10 thousand miles!”

Daniel Island resident Kathy Pate has been a longtime client. She says her twice weekly sessions have been life changing.

“I started with Nick and his team in 2018, right after they opened. Today I am much more agile, and any aches and pains I previously had have been greatly diminished,” Pate said. “This stretching has definitely improved my quality of life, my flexibility, and my golf game, in addition to greatly enhancing my general well-being. I love going there and can unequivocally recommend it to anyone, no matter the age or physical condition.”

Local chiropractor Jason Harkey says he’s received tremendous relief from his musculoskeletal problems.

“I performed adjustments that over time became repetitive stress injuries. It took just a few treatments, and I was already feeling relief. I also had lower back pain from tight hamstrings that I attribute to driving over 500 miles per week. I started referring people to be stretched here and they too always give great feedback.”
