Tri-County trailer stamping event July 18

The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is partnering with the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office to host a free trailer stamping event on Saturday, July 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Exchange Park in Ladson, South Carolina.

How does it work?

CCSO, along with fellow area and state law enforcement agencies, provide an owner-applied number stamped onto participants’ trailers. This, along with the trailers’ VIN and serial numbers, is then entered into the agency’s records system. This has helped identify stolen trailers in the past and can provide an extra layer of security.
