Mayor’s State of the City stop on DI Oct. 20
The City of Charleston’s State of Our City tour continues on Daniel Island Tuesday, Oct. 20.
Residents will hear directly from Mayor William Cogswell, their Councilmembers, and local leaders about specific projects underway in their area, including infrastructure, public safety, and quality-of-life improvements, as well as what's ahead. Residents will also have the chance to ask questions and speak directly with the people working on these efforts.
The DI stop will be at the Daniel Island Recreation Center, 5:30-7 p.m.
The mayor’s team has already visited West Ashley and Johns Island, and will follow the Daniel Island stop with James Island on Nov. 5, and the peninsula on Nov. 12.
"We want to hear directly from residents about what's working and what needs our attention, in every part of the city. These events are about showing up, listening, and making sure our work reflects what actually matters to the people who live here," said Cogswell in a statement.
Ahead of each event, residents can share what they'd like to see covered or submit questions in advance online.
All residents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
