As we enter an exciting new year, the Daniel Island Property Owners’ Association will continue to strive for excellence in strengthening our relationships with residents and guests, as well as, improving our stewardship of Daniel Island’s amenities and common areas.
We will regularly update our community website, dicommunity.org, for better “real time” information on events, emergency notifications and other valuable information. We will also seek input for areas of improvement in all facets of association interactions through resident surveys. The POA team will be dedicated to responding to questions to our office email, info@dicommunity.org, within a 24-hour time period and follow up as needed. This improved communication will be a proactive approach in finding solutions and answers to questions
ranging from code enforcement, assessments, livability, and amenity/landscape maintenance.
A sampling of improvement projects for 2023 include pickleball courts at Edgefield Park Pool, upgraded playground equipment at Center Park, upgraded playground equipment at Balfour Park, a picnic arbor installation at Great Oak Park, median landscape enhancements along Daniel Island Drive and various other right of way landscape enhancements throughout the island.
Additionally, working with local community groups and service organizations like the Garden Club and the Daniel Island Rotary Club, the POA will be continuing to improve the beloved Osprey Trail in front of the Daniel Island School and will implement a Phase 2 enhancement of our Commemorative Park off of Seven Farms Drive, near the Credit One Stadium.
Lastly, the POA will continue to strengthen our relationship with government partners to ensure that all public services are addressed whether they be the responsibility of the city, county, or state. We anticipate a more robust street tree pruning program within our 60-plus miles of rights-of-way and additional roadway improvements, including repaving from our city and county partners in 2023.
The best way for the POA to communicate important information to property owners is via our weekly newsletter so please make sure you sign up on our website – dicommunity.org – scroll to the box labeled “Sign Up For Our Newsletter!” Hit “sign up” and follow all prompts.
Once you sign up, you will begin receiving all weekly newsletters and important announcements.
The office at 130 River Landing Suite 1-C will be staffed Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The POA has a hybrid office staffing schedule and not all staff members are in the office daily but all are available by phone or email Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
