Letter to the Editor - April 21, 2022

Every day is Earth Day at Palmetto Goodwill

At Palmetto Goodwill, sustainability is in our DNA – making it easy to celebrate Earth Day. This year’s theme is “Invest in Our Planet” and we are proud to invest in the communities we serve, and our shared Earth.

The resale of your donations fund education, training, and employment services for individuals with disabilities, veterans, seniors, and others who face barriers to employment. The impact of those items doesn’t stop there.

When you buy your jeans at Goodwill versus the process of making a new pair, 1,800 gallons of water are spared. If you look at that over the course of a year, more than 650,000 gallons of water are saved.

We also keep harmful electronic waste out of landfills. In partnership with Dell Reconnect, Palmetto Goodwill accepts any brand of computers, in any condition, making reducing, reusing, and reconnecting the equipment effortless.

While Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22, at Palmetto Goodwill, we are committed to giving everyone the opportunity to thrive, and helping our shared precious planet get better every day.

Help us impact the communities we live, work, and play in, while saving our planet, one donation at a time. Donate. Shop. Change a Life!
