Letter to the editor: A call for stronger e-bike enforcement

I would like to complain about e-bikes, but it feels like our concerns fall on deaf ears. Last night in front of the fire station/police substation, we saw three e-bikes doing wheelies on Seven Farm Drive at approximately 9:30 p.m. Last Saturday I took a walk around the lake at Smythe Park and was greeted by a kid whipping around the trail on his e-bike. There is a clear sign at the entrance that reads, “Motorized Vehicles Are Not Permitted.” 

It’s my opinion that the police don’t want to issue tickets for these offenses. You can’t be more out in the open than doing a wheelie in front of the fire station/substation. Where are the police?
