Vote Nov. 21 for mayor
We have an important runoff election for Charleston city mayor Nov. 21. I wish more people realized just how important the local elections are to maintaining our quality of life. Potential voters need to understand that those running for elected offices pay close attention to the turnout in various communities.
The communities with the most turnout are the ones that get the most attention when the people are elected to office. Early voting will be available at the Daniel Island library starting Nov. 15.

PSHS SAILING TEAM OFFERS THANKS
The Philip Simmons High School Sailing team is off to a great start this season and we would like to thank the Daniel Island Yacht Club for their continuous support of our program.
DIYC donated our first year and a half worth of boat use and facility access. As a new yacht club, they are trying to grow their youth sailing program and we hope our presence on the water helps bring additional awareness to the community. The feeder into high school sailing starts with youth sailing and there’s no better way to start than at a yacht club in your backyard.
