Poll Question:
The Credit One Charleston Open tennis tournament opens March 30 on Daniel Island, and it usually attracts upwards of 90,000 attendees.
People come from around the country and around the world to watch the prestigious event that matches up the top-ranked international players. The annual event offers a lot of opportunities for the local residents to enjoy as well.
So, are you a fan of the COCO and plan to attend? Or do you try to avoid the area until all the visitors depart?

• I don’t have the option of avoiding the area. It would be nice if I could attend matches or activities since it’s so close, and it used to be easier for residents to get tickets. But that seems to have changed.
• Should give discounts to Daniel Island residents for all events at Credit One. Prices are too expensive for events.
• Opportunity to watch top seeded players (would also like to see men’s tennis come), the boost to local economy, public enhancements to grounds & area benefit us all, free family weekend for locals (important to keep engaging non-tennis folks and families). Dislikes or opportunities for improvement: more officers/traffic control & security presence up to and including week of event.
• The venue and competition are amazing! It’s a great spectacle to showcase DI!
