In March, 30 homes sold on Daniel Island, with the total sales for the month reaching $55,306,500.
As of May 4, 2025, there were 111 homes listed for sale: 64 active listings and 47 under contract.
The most expensive home sold in March was 1743 Sailmaker St. at $1.925 million. The least expensive home sold was a 1-bedroom condo at 130 River Landing Drive for $312,000.
Tricia Peterson of Island House Real Estate said the average sales price on Daniel Island is a whopping $2 million-plus compared to the Charleston average of $670,000.
“It’s been an ongoing rollercoaster with concerns over interest rates and the economy,” Peterson said, “but the Charleston real estate market continues to be strong as we enter the spring market.”
With concerns over a possible 2025 recession, Peterson said, “History tells us that during a recession, home prices follow what trajectory they are on and currently home prices are still rising, just at a more moderate pace.”
