How long will it take a home to sell in 2026?
A six-bed, seven-bathroom home totaling 6,539 square feet sold for $10 million on Daniel Island at 326 Bayley Road in January.
It was one of 25 homes that sold in the first month of the new year; 17 for more than $1 million, while eight sold for less.
The least expensive unit was at 400 Bucksley Lane #307, for $350,000.
"This year is getting an early, strong start," said Renee Reinert of Carolina One Real Estate. "We are seeing an increase in the number of sales as more inventory comes on the market."
Sales totaled $55.9M last month, which was the strongest January in the last four years.
As of February 25, 82 homes on Daniel Island were up for sale, with 89 properties under contract. Reinert said patience for home sellers will be key as the market moves into the spring.
"It will be interesting to see how it continues," she said.
"I predict a healthy year for selling homes at a comfortable pace. The normal will not be to sell in one day but rather in three to four months. This seems to be the new normal."
