Strong currents lead to spare time, stock tips

Recently, fishing has been a bit wonky.
The full moon has tides running about two feet above normal. This makes for strong current, poor water clarity, and really tough fishing.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the trolling motor on my skiff kicked the bucket.
Given all these challenges, Brody, the amazing fish-finding and stock-trading dog, told me to skip inshore fishing for a few days. Of course, I went fishing just to say I did.
Against all odds, I managed to catch a few trout and redfish. Upon my return, I told Brody he was right. Fishing was really tough. We agreed to skip inshore fishing for a few days.
Thankfully, Brody used the down time to do a bit of stock trading. He reduced his position in NVIDIA and purchased more MircoStrategy. It will be interesting to see how these trades play out. We will provide an update next week.
With nothing but time on our hands, Brody and I began to get in trouble. It is now very difficult to enter my house because the door is blocked with boxes from Chewy and Amazon. Take it from me. Never give your dog a credit card.
On Saturday, Elliott dropped by the house and inquired about the boxes. I laughed and told him this is what boredom does to people and dogs. Especially fish-finding and stock-trading dogs. Elliott responded, “Let’s go swordfishing. It sure beats boredom and online shopping.”
The next day, offshore conditions were optimal. On the 70-mile ride to the swordfish grounds, I did the math in my head. Which costs less, 200 gallons of non-ethanol fuel or a bored dog with an American Express card?
Turns out, they cost about the same. However, we did manage to catch a swordfish. So, at least we were not bored.
