Glenn Churchill is this week’s winner of the Pigskin Pick’em Challenge. He topped sponsor Suzanne Detar, author of “Don’t Lose the Ball in the Lights,” with an 11-1 score, easily beating her 8-5 effort. He won a $50 gift card to Ristorante LIDI as well as a signed copy of her book.

Glenn has owned a law office on Daniel Island since 2010 that concentrates on personal injury, criminal defense, and probate law. He is a graduate of Davidson College and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He was a prosecutor for many years at the Solicitor’s Office before going into private practice.

“I play the Pigskin Pick’em as a fun challenge, but also because it keeps me interested in games throughout the weekend that I otherwise might not follow,” said Glenn via email. “I’m surprised and happy to have won this week’s pick’em!”

Each week between now and the Super Bowl, readers will be given an opportunity to “Beat the Sponsor” and to win great prizes. The Daniel Island News will email a link to the survey on Tuesday via e-blast, and the URL link will also be posted on our Facebook page as well as in the paper. To be eligible to win, select your entries online by noon on Friday. There is no cost to enter. Please send your email address to katherine@thedanielislandnews.com to be added to the e-blast.

To enter, go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6RYBYBL and fill out your ballot.

Each week, we will also include a running win-loss record for each of our sponsors and the paper will donate $500 to the charity of choice for the sponsor who has the best overall win-loss record at the end of the season.

This week is your opportunity to beat Jim Flynn with LTP and win a $50 gift card to Vespa.
