Matthew Bower beats Phil Bowman to win Super Bowl Pigskin Pick ’Em

New Daniel Island resident Matthew Bower took home the Blondies gift card with his big Super Bowl win over sportswriter Phil Bowman.
Bower went 7-12 to defeat Bowman, an Ohio native and Cincinnati Bengals fan, who finished this week with a 3-9 record.
Bower just recently moved to Daniel Island. “I previously worked for Blackbaud and have always liked the community feel here, as well as the various restaurants on DI,” Bower said. “I read The Daniel Island News weekly and like the various articles about the place.”
“I am an avid football fan and decided to enter the Pigskin Pick ’Em the week before the Super Bowl,” Bower added. “I guess it’s beginners’ luck.”
