Are you ready for some football?
This week marks the return of The Daniel Island News Pigskin Pick ’Em Challenge, a 22-week contest where you compete against sponsors and other readers for a chance to win a gift card to a local restaurant.
This week’s sponsor to beat is Ashley Severance of Atlantic Properties. The winner receives a gift card to Sermet’s.
The Pick ’Em Challenge is a fun way for readers to compete for gift certificates to local businesses and for sponsors to compete to receive a $500 donation from The Daniel Island News to the charity of their choice.
You can enter the contest by entering the link in the headline to this article into your browser or by clicking on the link on our Facebook page. You can also sign up to receive the ballot via email each Tuesday by contacting katherine@thedanielislandnews.com. Entries must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday to be eligible (prior to the start of high school games).
The sponsor challenge is wide open this year. Can defending champion Colby Hollifield of Daniel Island Ferry repeat?
Not if returning sponsors Ashley Severance of Atlantic Properties, Carolina One’s Nancy Crick, Michael E. Patterson Jr. and Chris Mingledorff of Mingledorff & Patterson, Attorneys at Law, or Edie Coupe of Daniel Island Real Estate have anything to say about it.
And, returning sponsors will have to fend off Mac’s of Daniel Island, which is also a great spot to watch the games. Another new contender is Gabe Jolly with Carolina One Real Estate.
Rounding out the competition is The Daniel Island News sports writer Phil Bowman.
Support these sponsors by using their services and compete against them each week for an opportunity to win great gift certificates.
